I understand, the Stone Tablets are in the Ark of the Covenant. Now, if they find the Ark....that would be something.

The Ten Commandments are indeed wonderful moral precepts that the Jewish people preserved so eloquently in their accounting of the Old Testament, I believe in the Torah, before the Bible. However, I believe these commandments have been usurped by both the Jews and the Christians in several cases. For example, when it comes to war, Thou Shall Not Kill, does not apply to those who are considered the enemy. Shortly after Moses received those commandments, the Jews proceeded to eliminate, by killing tribes of people that had occupied their "promised land," and are still doing it today to the nomadic lifestyle of those of Arab origin who have used the country called Palestine, until the Jewish people decided to reclaim it as their promised land, today, Israel.

I could get into some of the other commandments but I will not. Most are quite good. I prefer some of the Greek philosophy over "commanded from God" morals that Jewish and Christian religions use, and some cases, literally, like the Muslims. I also believe that the Golden Rule, that existed before it was placed in the Bible and attributed to Jesus. As a very good guide for how to behave morally without having rigid, proclaimed, moral precepts subject to terrible consequences if crossed.

I always admire your educational take on things and you have taught me a lot, including about the Ten Commandments that I didn't know before. Surely if those stone tablets could be found somewhere, it would be a miracle to behold.
