As humans we all need love. We look for it in various ways. Some ae helpful and some are self-destructive. Sometimes we think we will find love through sex. Sometimes through holding on so tightly to someone they feel like they can't breath.Sometimes we look for love at church.
There are many kinds of love. More than I can possibly write in a short article. I am going to focus on love that fills our most inner desire. I smile as I write that. Don't worry. This is G rated. No, this is the love that looks to our core needs.
What are your needs?It is very possible it is to be loved.To be understood. To be respected and cherished. Oh, you might think of yourself and say ,"not me!". But can I suggest you look deeper?We all want and need love.It is not only o.k. , it is natural and human.
Where I have found true love is God. For me all love comes from God.When I love someone - God who is in me is touching God that is in the other person and the joy is glorious!Of course there are hard times and misunderstandings. We are not perfect. But if we get in touch with our faith and God I think we are much more able to be understanding and work things out.However, as we all know sometimes that isn't possible. But even then if God is a part of our reflection and prayer it is possible eventually to forgive.
So, to answer my question in the title, love is where God is.Love is born through God and it has no end. When we die we wll be with God, so we will always be loved.
