This is a lane where I have walked
Many a saddening time
And I hear today the long lost hours
Nostalgically chime
And create ripples in my blood as if
The history is revived
Of a tear-filled past which so long had
Unsuccessfully strived
To reveal itself with all its nuances
Which merge now with the present’s stream
Where my tears, in the confluence of the wonders
Of the past and the present, gleam.
And as I walk along this lane, I feel
My memories find their clues
To reopen all that’s lost and forgotten
And thrust into the blues.
Here then emotions from my deep within
Surface on the heights
Where the spirit’s passions on a finer land
Find the Godly lights.
And that’s the place where the soul of mine
Finds romanticism and peace
While traveling alone in the silence of
Quiet lanes as these.
