Surpassing your limitations

Just a midnight musing, I get these often.

Human Beings are naturally skeptical creatures because we are normally raised in a sceptical environment. We are taught disbelief and limitation, either by our parents or teachers or even both. Rationality and logic hinders our abilities. What would we be if we were taught to believe in whatever we choose, instead of what is chosen for us? What would we be if we were allowed to decide for ourselves what is right or wrong, what is real and what is not? Would we be delusional, or would we be super-human? I heard a saying once that caused me to reflect upon the ideals and beliefs I was raised with. "if all the people in the world were blind, except for one man, would the man feel blessed with the ability to see, or would he go mad, believing his sight to be an illusion? So my question to you is this: Is there something you wanted to believe, something you have always wanted to be able to be capable of, but thought it to be impossible because of the improbability of it? This limitation is self-imposed because of what you have learned from the time you could comprehend other's attitudes and beliefs. The first thing to realize is this: The body believes what the mind tells it. If you think you are ugly, you will be ugly. If you think you are overweight, you will be overweight. If you believe yourself to be beautiful, you will be beautiful. It is basic human nature to lie in the bed you and others have created for you, even defending your own misery because you will not allow yourself to rise from it. Free your mind from the self-imposed chains binding you and you will be able to accomplish anything. Allow yourself to not only beleive in miracles, but to act to make miracles happen. Permit yourself to beleive in the power that exists inside yourself and all around you. Sanction yourself to use it. Only when you have accomplished this will you be able to break free of your bonds, your limits, and become what you have always wanted to be.
