Local author, Diana Baird featured her new book entitled "The Old Man Who Talked to the Trees" at the Idaho Capitol Rotunda Wednesday as part of Buy Idaho Day.
"The Old Man Who Talked to the Trees" is a story about the three U. S. presidents who planted trees on the Idaho State Capitol Grounds. The book also includes a story of how the wood from the trees was preserved and made into various items by Idaho wood crafters. Photos of the two year Capitol restoration are also included in the book.
