The good in you only gets better. Old habits are challeging to break...but here
Is the GOOD side of new habits.

“Same old good habits make you better.”

Two very popular (with me) Aristotle quotes sums up my blog today.

1)”I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies; for the hardest victory is over self.”

The hardest thing to accomplish as humans is to break a bad habit and at the same time create a new good habit.  Some experts say 21 days is all it takes to create a new habit or break an old bad one.

I subscribe to the other school of experts, who says to legitimately kiss the old habit goodbye and ring in the new habit , it takes 60 days.  This one works for me better. 60 days gives your brain time to solidify this new thing in your mental framework…and if you are like me and love writing things on paper, this tatooes the new habit to your brain even more.  Try both, see which one  works best for you.

As entrepreneurs, we are constantly changing for the better, so learning a technique that will simplify this change can give you goosebumps in hindsight.

The 2nd popular (again, popular to me)quote from the great Aristotle is…”We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

Do you remember when you were a toddler learning to walk, talk, eat, etc?…of course you don’t, but it occurred through a repeated lesson.

As adults, we tend to forget this lesson of learning something new, because we allow LIFE to beat us down to the point where we think we are no good anymore and there’s nothing new to learn…this is not true , les you would already be 6 feet under.

Life is all about challeges and change…the more you are challenged, the more you will change…through a repeated regimen of HABIT.

Start today to change anything in your life you want…please start with a small thing, like profanity for a day or a no-gossip day or better yet, how about …no social media day..try it TODAY.repeat.repeat.repeat until mission accomplished.

I’d love to hear some of your results..postive and negative, remember this is worth the effort, but not easily accomplished..good luck

Peace, Love, Joy

We all have bad habits. But lately, I've noticed that they are being diminished for lack of time. I guess that old saying, something about, "Idle time leads to devilish thoughts," is true for me. All this wonderful engaging other authors, catching up on TV dramas and reality shows as well as old movies I haven't seen leaves little time for those bad habits except for playing Internet solitaire in the evening while I'm supposedly relaxing with primetime TV shows.

Now that's one addiction I may have to quit for 60 days. Or not. ;-)
