Shedding Preconceptions
[Voice from the Other Side - Sha'Tara]
"... I asked Charles what puzzled him most about the [nature of] the universe.
"It's a problem of management," he said... "How does everything know where and what it is? How does everything talk to every other thing, and what or who listens?"
You think the universe is a giant brain? [I asked]
"No," he replied, "but it's stranger than anyone ever imagined. It's a kind of computational system... nothing but information talking to itself. That much seems clear. I want to know how it talks to itself, and how we can listen in... and maybe add to the conversation [meaningfully]. Tell it what to do."
You mean we can persuade the universe to change? [I asked]
"Yeah."
Is that possible?
"I'd bet my life on it," Charles said. "At least my future. Have you ever wondered why we're locked in status quo? Cultural critics and even prominent thinkers [...] had speculated on the lack of major advances in recent decades. There had been progress -- on Earth, the escalation of the dataflow revolution -- that had produced surface changes, extreme refinements, but there had not been a paradigm shift for almost a century. Some said that a citizen of Earth in 2071 could be transported to 2171 and recognize almost everything she saw... This after centuries of extraordinary change.
If we could access the Bell Continuum, the forbidden channels where all the universe does its bookkeeping... We'd break the status quo wide open. It would be the biggest revolution of all time.
Did you ever watch those old Bugs Bunny, Road Runner; Tom and Jerry; Disney cartoons? They fascinated me. I watched them and tried to understand how a universe like theirs would make sense. I even worked up some math. Observer-based reality -- nobody falls until he knows he's over the edge of a cliff... Instant regeneration of damaged bodies, no consequences, continuous flows of energy, limited time, inconsistent effects from similar causes. Pretty silly stuff but it made me think."
Is that how our universe works? [I asked]
"Maybe more than we realize! I'm fascinated by concepts of other realities, other ways of doing things. Nothing is fixed, nothing sacred, nothing metaphysically determined -- it's all contingent on process and evolution. That's perfect. It means we might be able to understand, if we can just relax and shed our preconceptions." [from Moving Mars by Greg Bear]

Some recent conversations made me ponder (again!) the effect belief systems (preconceptions) have on Earth humans. How the System (remember the Big Three: Religion, Government, Money) uses man's innate fear of change to maintain itself in oppressive and destructive power.
Our current belief systems are not only utterly out of date, they have demonstrated beyond any shadow of doubt that they have long since stopped functioning. They are now held together by what I call backward projection... The "Binder Dundat" outlook upon the future. I can "look" down the street because I've driven down it a thousand times before. My brain has an image of the average condition of that street, traffic, speeds, etc, from a thousand inputs. Problem is, my brain has no clue as to the condition of that street today, as I drive down. It doesn't know that there's a serious accident around the next bend. It doesn't know that another part of the street is blocked because of a house fire. It can only "know" what has been fed into it FROM THE PAST. The brain's "future" is pure conjecture.
Here's another way of looking at our belief systems (I'm being generous by saying "our" for in fact I'm really not a part of that game any longer!) Let's say that fuel (gas) stopped flowing to the pumps overnight. Tomorrow, by noon, no more gas anywhere. But there would still be thousands of acres of sales lots full of new cars and trucks all over. You could still go and browse. There'd probably still be eager sales people and office staff to offer you incredible deals and write up the paper work. There would still be that "belief system" in place, even though the act of buying a gas-burning vehicle would be quite useless.
Well, consider organized religion with its old paradigms. First, none of their promises ever truly materialized. The people who joined did not do the things they claimed they could do, nor were they empowered as was promised by their saviours, their gurus, their various angels. Yes it's easy to join a religion today. The terms are super sweet, especially in Christianity. You can be as "worldly" as they come, as long as you have your profession of faith in Jesus Christ, you're in. Pay your fees, attend church (or not - it's increasingly optional - you can always claim you were watching TV religious broadcast. Just like buying a car when there's no gas. Easy terms, but the car won't go past whatever's in the tank. The "fuel" just isn't there.
The same goes for government. It's obvious they are there to feather their own nest - nothing else. They use cheap words (some, like GB don't even need them) and they are elected, re-elected, and retired on the money we give them for doing nothing, except lie. What do they do? Help their rich friends get richer or get out of jail free if they get caught. Hike taxes or fees upon the "electorate" who are ostensibly too dumb to realize how they empower these jokers.
The money people? They're the worst of the bunch. Blatant thieves, not only of finite natural resources and slave labor from indigent countries, but within their own system - stealing from one-another, insider trading, collusion on prices. Most major corporations, despite the vast amount of leeway afforded them by the courts, have a criminal track record in millions of dollars of fines, mostly for oppression of their work force, poisoning of the environment and insider trading. Greed is the only motivation they know. For them, winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.
These are all old paradigms. They have never worked, therefore it can be safely said that they never will. We need a better answer; a better reason for going through the motions of life each day.

Self- sacrifice. Not a pleasant thought for people who have grown up believing that life's purpose is simply to have more of what feels good. But self-sacrifice is linked to self-empowerment. Look, if the leaders have sold out; if the gods, or "God" have disappeared or lost control even of their treasured organizations; if the planet is dying from environmental degradation; if national, race and sect groupings are out of control; if both "communism" and "democracy" have become economic fascism -- where does that leave the individual who chooses not to be a part of the above degeneration? Of the above "backward progression"?
Of course, to create a new paradigm requires more than self-sacrifice. It requires a vision based on material untainted by the current paradigms of planet Earth. Mind matter tougher than any that has yet appeared on this world. Individual thinking that dares go where "they" have never gone. Where there is no God or Goddess; where there are no gods; no rulers; no leaders; no preconceptions.
To boldly go where no ONE has gone before. Pretty simple.
I.E. Radio waves are set on a frequency that allowes us to hear them. Dog whistles on a frequency we can't hear but they can. Perhaps energy works the same way. If we can find the frequency they generate maybe we can move it. If we can pick up on the thought waves perhaps we can read minds. Maybe we do already and just don't realize it.
That guy is a bad man I can FEEL it. He is simply throwing out his energy on a frequency I can pick up. Maybe if I can pick up on ALL of those thought waves I would be able to change the way he thinks. :)

"To boldly go where no ONE has gone before." Here I would hesitate to write these words, because you and I (maybe) do not really know if any One of us has gone there prior...
However, this entire article is a refreshing cleansing of the 'old' ways of concept. I would wish this piece to be on the front page of everyone's morning reading. More than that, I would wish for more peoples of our Mother Earth to HEAR and understand what you are saying. Stay with this path, Regis; teach unconditional love. It is the path to the true ONE.
And it is time now for us all to wake up, determine what we really want, and then go for it without hesitation. I want no more of the lies and deceptions upon which this world's social structures are defined. I am ready. I too am helping to create a new paradigm.
