New Ideas-New Concepts in Awareness

    thoughts of a  ~burning woman~

When the mind is set free to roam the cosmic info-highway there is no limit as to what she will contemplate, nor what she will decide to copy and paste within her "keep" folders for future consideration.  From such perusal come new ideas.

I must define what I mean by "new" in this context.  It cannot be what has been with a new paint job, or a "lateral" move from a previous position.  Painting a house or moving it down the street: it's still the same house.  Perhaps even the worse for wear (a dig at those who insist on dredging up old concepts to apply to current problems or conditions?).

I call "new" any idea brought forth before but never implemented, or killed in infancy without a chance to develop and have an effect on its surroundings.  "New" also means something "else" I find on the cosmic web not available in (or applicable to) the Earthian scenario but blended with my own thoughts may prove viable at some point on earth's history line.

Understand that "we" are not bound by any earth timeline.  We interact freely and properly with what you call your planet's past history - and change it without your awareness we are doing so (nor are we the only ones doing this) - and use that interaction to create a (possible) future divergent from any you may be able to foresee with your religious information or pseudo-astrology; your scientific/mathematical or social science projections.  In writing these essays and other stories (projecting thoughts on physical recording devices for future observers) I use these prerogatives freely.  I am aware of this process taking place.

Anyone who engages new ideas will compare them to concepts now in working existence, also called systems.  Since you cannot put new wine in old wineskins without ruining them and losing your wine (a truism, if ever there was one) any new idea will tend to the shattering of old concepts.  Let's say you have an urn - very old, quite useless but ornate and you are attached to it.  It becomes a decoration on a marble stand in the garden.  A child playing in the backyard in winter, in the course of play fills it with water and corks it.  Then leaves it.  There is a frost.  The urn cracks.  The sun comes out, the water leaks out and all that is left are broken shards on muddy ground.

How do you see this?  Depends.  You bemoan the loss, berate the child (who does not understand your anger, nor his or her involvement in the disaster) or you contemplate this event from a cosmic viewpoint.  The urn was pretty to look at but what else?  It was obsolete, its original purpose having been supplanted by the ubiquitous Thermos bottle.  Also here is a concept that cannot stand under a changing set of circumstances.  It could never have been trusted - and note - even in its original time, in its heyday, because it was not designed to compensate for frost when filled with water.  Yet, wasn't its purpose to hold water?  Sure, but you were probably made aware you had to empty the flask or protect it somehow should there be risk of freezing.

You had to "baby-sit" your system.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?  Aren't "Systems" supposed to be greater than those they rule over?  Shouldn't they be trustworthy regardless of changing circumstances?  Shouldn't they answer all the questions?  Shouldn't they make all things right?  Well?

You may not like my conclusions, but here they are: the urn is God.  The Ultimate System.  It is that which you see as your Source.  That is why the more you worship the urn, the more vulnerable you become and the more strife you engender among yourselves.  There is another word to describe the urn: an idol.  (Well, there's another kettle of worms or can of fish to stink up the room!)

Forget the flask.  Try this: compassion.  Individually, deliberately, comprehensively - no holds barred.   Pay the price of admission, enter the arena.  Not to be a spectator but a warrior.  Yes, the price of admission is tiny by comparison to the price of living in the arena.  But then, aren't we all in some aspect of it already?  Huddled together at one end while the hungry predators eye us from the other side, making their move towards an easy lunch?  Wouldn't it make more sense to be self-empowered to face that than wait for some magic intervention from some dead system to pull us out of the nightmare?

Why do I call "compassion" a new idea?  Based on above criteria, when was compassion the modus operandi of Earthian humanity?

I agree, The strongest powers in the universe are the souls that live within us, We have only but to excercise our energies and direct them toward the greater good and all will reap the benefits.

To be self-empowered, an important point to make. We are the rulers of our own destiny if we shall dare to be. Without compassion what would we have?

Compassion is made of: compass and ion.

COMPASS, to guide you right ahead to your destiny.
ION, the tricky part, can be a negative or a positive charged particle, if you choose the wrong one your compassion will go off of whack and the concept of awareness will need more than a system baby-sitter to get those "new ideas" that in reality are senile ones.

This is the first time I've ever read an "urn" being compared to God. Probably one of the worst metaphors I've ever seen. I'm amused by the fact that most of these articles explore "systems" beyond or without God, yet they are tangled up in thoughts of God more than perhaps the average person/believer has. Ironic.... However, I do value other people's opinions and explorations. This article is just as thought provoking as previous articles. More importantly, these articles are always well written! They also communicate a feel of searching - something we spend our entire lifetimes doing. An intriguing write:)
