Common Sense Understanding of Fossil/Energy Fuels

We certainly live in doomsday scenario times and let the most imaginative have the podium. This is the age of instant information and You Tube videos. Anyone can be momentarily famous by clocking a few thousand "hits" with an outrageous photo or appealing video title. In other media, I've contributed a small share of my own doomsday understanding based on what I hope was common sense research. And in the last few years my interest has focused on dwindling natural resources squaring off against an exponentially increasing technology and human population. Obviously something's terribly out of balance, but what is pushing this imbalance?

This much I have discovered: whatever it is, it is never what we think it is, and it will never play out as pundits, prophets, and myself, think it should, or must, or will. I reconciled myself to this many years ago, thus freeing myself to dig in the morass of information available at the click of a button and the spin of a mouse wheel! It's called detachment. If what I find today concludes that what I was sure of yesterday is no longer true , then it's no longer true . As long as what I have today makes more sense, and is based on more serious research or philosophy thus explaining things better and clearer, then that's the way to go today. The trick is to remember that a researcher is standing on a ladder and a rung is not a permanent position. Ah, if only our great "teachers" of religious, political and economic concepts had learned that simple lesson, how much reactionary BS and foolish speculation could have been avoided.

After I viewed the video made by Mike Ruppert, (Global War and Collapse) something was buzzing around in my mind, something I tried to remember. Then it came to me: an article I copied off the "net" some years ago about certain deductions made by a scientist by the name of Thomas Gold. (Thomas "Tommy" Gold, the brilliant and controversial 20th century Viennese-born science figure and professor emeritus of astronomy at Cornell University, died at the age of 84 on June 22, 2004... and etc.)

In a world awash with conspiracy theories and more conspiracy theories build on the bowed backs of older conspiracy theories, we have heard more than enough about that miraculous stuff we call crude oil. Well, here's just one more theory to add to the meltdown of mis and dis information on the subject. Dr. Gold disagreed with the "fossil fuel" theory and jumping through all the conclusions he arrived at (sorry, I won't go into the explanations for the existence of thermopile bacteria and chemosynthetic clams), the gist of his findings are that crude oil or fossil fuels do not come from squashed ferns and saber toothed tigers, but from within the planet itself, a material that is formed by the on-going compression of carbonaceous substances within the mantle and is constantly being forced out towards the surface. In other words, the earth is not running out of oil, there is no peak oil crisis and all that.

The research is impeccable. It looks at discoveries made from observations and readings made of other worlds where no plants ever grew and states that they too have "oil reserves" the same as earth. In fact, this miraculous product is found in abundance in space throughout the universe. It also states - and that's something new to me - that depleted oil deposits are replenishing themselves. OK, so I find that a bit hard to swallow since all those oil wells in Texas and Columbia are, well, definitely not well. In fact they stand high and dry, rusty, crumbling testimony to man's greed. Or am I missing something in Dr. Gold's oil hypothesis? Just in case Dr. Gold's research is not as impeccable as it appears, don't go rushing out to buy that Hummer just yet. I can state unequivocally that the price of crude, whether peaked or replenished, will not go down, quite the opposite. How well we all know why diamonds fetch such a high price, and it's not because they are rare!

The following is for true conspiracy theory buffs, addicts, maybe even for those who upon it being proven to them that the apocalypse isn't happening at one minute to midnight on December 31, 2012, would fly into a rage. I mean serious people. Enjoy this. I'm sure some of you can add spicy condiments to the brew.

I posit that Those In The Know - Illuminati and such ilk - are aware that oil is self-replenishing but they are not about to release that kind of information: what would that do to the unbelievable cash cow crude oil has become? By restricting its flow; by playing with dwindling reserves and peak oil even while also claiming there is lots and lots of the stuff, but being careful to avoid mentioning it is replenishing itself, they can manipulate not only the price of this now essential substance, but they can use such disinformation to foment wars. And what has always been the most profitable venture on this planet of lost boys? War. War is a guaranteed win no matter who loses. People can be taxed to pay for wars for as long as any government wishes to do so. Ultimately no one can remember what is being paid back, nor to whom, but what is never forgotten is that a tax was levied and as Daylight Saving Time, that will continue to be implemented. Taxes keep populations subdued. Taxes and the compound interest in war debts they ostensibly serve to pay cause social injustice and economic imbalances. I don't need to belabor this, everybody should be aware of that by now. Elementary.

Frank Herbert, one of my favorite science fiction writers, a brilliant philosopher and analyst, wrote in his Dune books: He who can destroy a thing controls a thing. Those In The Know (TITK) can "destroy" oil reserves without touching them. They can simply declare that oil is running out, even when it isn't. So, even if oil was a truly renewable resource, the propaganda machinery would ensure that the world would be none the wiser. If it isn't at the pump and all the information says it's run dry, then it has. Not that it won't be obvious that certain aspects of elitist technology continues to be liberally supplied with oil and gas, but the world will accept that this fuel comes from small and dwindling reserves sufficient only to drive this elitist machine and costly beyond imagining.

Let's put forth another theory based on Dr. Gold's findings. Let's assume he is correct, that indeed the oil fields are self-replenishing as claimed. Let's assume that the TITK's know this but are not focusing on this. Why would that be? Because the replenishment rate is far below the rate of extraction and therefore the original "peak oil" theory still holds. If you have a bucket with a hole in the bottom and your rate of loss is greater than the volume provided by the hose you are using to fill the bucket, you are still going to have an empty bucket even with the hose wide open.

So there you have it. Theory one: we have oil, but we don't have oil because it's peaked and that's all she wrote... or theory number two: we have oil but we don't have oil because although it is replenishing itself naturally, the TITK's have a quota on its extraction which they maintain through global propaganda and localized control through war lords, threats of wars and actual wars... or, theory number three: we have oil but we don’t have oil because the supply has peaked and the rate of replenishment is too slow to significantly add to remaining reserves.

Let's not forget this: if it is true that it was the cheap and easy availability of crude oil, fossil fuels, energy fuels, that made it possible for the world's population to increase exponentially in the last century and to continue doing so, there is one more significant aspect to consider: that the TITK's can use their control of oil to literally cause a massive die-back of the Earthian population. Just imagine what would happen to any major center if its supply of fuels based on crude oil was turned off? The entire world's "lubrication" - its heat, its light, its transportation, its food supplies, all exist at the mercy of whoever controls the oil fields, whether they are running out, or being replenished. It's not the supply of oil that matters, but how it is being manipulated, by whom, and what is their agenda. And one more thing: now is not a good time to be thinking that it only happens to the other guy.
