The Place that needs no Words

[thoughts from ~burning woman~ by Sha'Tara]

Introduction: What would be the one thing which an intellectually evolved being would notice missing in the average Earthian; the one thing whose lack stands out more than anything else, instantly recognizable? Compassion. Yes, one can find degrees of caring among Earthians, but it's an "attached" condition generally related to other factors such as personal relationships, belief systems or unusual situations. An Earthian can give his life to a cause by killing another who opposes his cause. That is not compassion, that is brainwashing. An Earthian can die trying to save the life of a loved one, or in the performance of a job and duty or on spur-of-the-moment reaction to a situation: that is not compassion either. Compassion is much deeper and "stranger" than any of that. Compassion is an evolved and permanent state of mind completely connected to the sanctity of all life - no exceptions. Compassion is probably another of those “senses” (sixth sense and beyond) which was either lost in time, atrophied, or has yet to break out of the closed mind currently held in tight mental restraints (beliefs) by the Matrix.*1

Quote:
"The present is distraction; the future a dream; only memory can unlock the meaning of life. Aren't those beautiful words?"
"Truly exquisite words, but a foolish lie. No -- memory unlocks no meanings. Without anguish of the spirit, which is a wordless experience, there are no meanings anywhere."

There are some who respond with their own understanding to the thoughts I express upon the ether. And some have challenged me on my liberal use of quotes from science fiction writers and other writers of fiction. Somehow I lose credibility if I do not quote accepted and acceptable "sources" to validate some of my own thoughts or create an easier path for these thoughts to project themselves through.

I say this because the above quote is from the book "God Emperor of Dune" by Frank Herbert. And I think that is amazing insight. What does it matter the vehicle a writer/philosopher uses to share ideas with as many as possible? I can't be the only one who sees life differently after reading Herbert, Tolkien, Orwell, Bear, Simmons, Asimov, Modesitt and a host of others who had ideas and expressed them through the use of fiction.

Suffice that they are writers who excel at their craft and express ideas not found in the common swamp of pseudo history, religion, science, mathematics and pop psychology.

I have said many times that words are the cheapest commodity on this planet. That may be true far beyond earth as well. But if words are so "cheap" how do we remember; how do we think; how do we create without them?

Such a process was once normal. Earthians evolved mentally by leaps and bounds. Many thousands of years ago we find our ancestors in complete harmony of thought building what legend brought down to us as something as ridiculous as "a tower that will reach to the heavens." Yes at that time Earthian humans had one common "language" which wasn't words at all but telepathic communication. They could "remember" without flaw and could emulate whatever they had observed their "gods" doing.

The tower in question we now know was a launching pad for rockets bound for space beyond this solar system. The goal was to launch shuttles into space and find the creators’ mother ships and confront them for leaving us on earth after they appeared to have left. The Earthians were not ready to accept that earth was to be their final abode and place of death. They knew the Nibiruans (the gods) did not die or at least they had never seen one die. And they would force their creators to give them this gift of longevity. That was the simple plan.

The so-called “gods” got wind of this and were afraid. What if the Earthians succeeded? They had all the necessary technical information in their minds and could share it freely among all. They operated as a hive unit. Indeed, nothing they put their minds to would be denied them. So the gods concocted a great evil with which they afflicted all of mankind: they robbed them of their ability to share thoughts. And so the Earthians who had only used sounds to sing or communicate with animals and sea creatures now had to develop audible languages to express their most basic needs. From thence came a great downfall, a loss of understanding and endless scatterings "over the face of the whole earth". Most of them were thrown back to what could be described as the stone age.

Words do not convey meaning. They provide a very crude framework upon which meanings may be expressed but ultimately it is the mind looking through the symbol of language that decides what the meaning is. There will never be any agreement that way. I remember the old joke: there are three sides to every story: yours, mine and the facts. But what are facts if they have not been experienced by you and me at the same time, in the same way? To look for facts through verbal reports is a complete waste of mental energy. Yet isn’t that the way people view there world, especially in this age of mass media and the internet? And what are images but more aggressive symbols to support the word view?

A child raises his arm to me. The hand is not there - it was blown away by a land-mine. I can feel a wrenching in my guts but I cannot know what that child is feeling unless I lose my own hand under identical conditions. Or unless I am a total empath. Then I can know in the anguish of spirit and I can see by the Golden Path all the threads that led that child to trip the mine; that created the mine; all the wherefores and all the why's are laid bare - to infinity! That place needs no words; has no words with the power to describe it accurately. It can only be entered through compassion if it is to be understood, then survived.

It seems obvious to me now that the people of earth are not mentally evolved enough to express themselves this way for if they were, everything taken for granted this moment would change overnight.

Yes! What made men "scatter"? I've always been intrigued with the stones of Easter Island, Stonehenge, and so much more. Perhaps there was more comopassion in these works of stone than in human beings today although I'd like to believe that I do possess compassion.

Love ya!

Atlantis, the birthplace of civilization. Was it a fable? I think not.
I do wonder though what caused the great cataclism that spread their decendents throughout the earth, developing in far reaches along a similar path. "Star Wars" is fictional, but it contains great moral lessons for us all. Oft times there are lessons that can be applied to our daily lives through fictional stories like "The Matrix," The second time i watched I found nuances that we should take to heart.
Well done Regis.

as to the depth, that is the emotional arena encompassed by the word compassion, I believe we would be required to establish a commonly agreed upon semantic basis before we could begin a valid evaluation process - compassion can be correctly defined as simply as sympathy, concern, kindness, understanding, or empathy - it is a learned trait and develops or not along with an individuals value programming as a part of their personality profile - the evil trinity is not religion, government and money, it is those who utilize religion, government and money as tools to control those that are submissive enough to be controlled or dominated - an interesting article Regis, thanks for sharing - I wish you love and peace my dear friend - Jon Michael

There is no empathy in the general's strategic attack, the man who lays the landmine, only to forget where he placed it after the war, or the drone flyer, far removed from the death of the individual targeted. There is only the matrix with its mindless directive to kill as many of the enemy as possible.

I don't agree that words have less power than before words were spoken. However, the matrix relies on words and symbols to maintain its power over people. The hierarchy, derived from nature and the tribe, is codified and powerfully maintained, producing the great inequity between people on the earth today.

It has been very difficult for me to read science fiction after Frank Herbert. But Dune, much as I like his books (but not his son's), seems pale compared to the real life tribute he wrote of his second wife (as an afterword to God Emperor?) ... I have never seen anything even close to it. Thanks again, Burning Woman, and to you, Regis for passing this on to us ... best, Jan
