Homophobic Biblical Laws: Why?

Why did the tribal god of Moses; the god of the Hebrew tribes who brought them out of Egyptian slavery to keep them wandering the desert wilderness of Sinai for forty years, institute Draconian laws against homosexuality?
I think that is a good and necessary question since those particular laws, unlike so many others of the Biblical Old Testament, survived to become ensconced in Christian and Islamic doctrine. These cruelly inane laws are now plaguing Christianity as its members fall to one side or the other of the issue; an issue that can never be resolved, anymore than, say, an argument over whether single-coloured cows are legitimate creatures of God whereas bi-coloured or tri-coloured cows are of the Devil. If the Devil causes men to be born, or become homosexuals, then the Devil has co-opted nature to do his bidding and upstaged the Big Guy in the Sky.
Isn't it high time to see homosexuality for what it is: a condition as natural as heterosexuality and likely a natural defence against over-population - speaking from a global stance, not from some parochial religio-political viewpoint? A sort of natural selection in effect among the Earthian species?
But back to the question: why is homosexuality considered by certain One Male God worshipping religions to be particularly evil, sinful, a sign of sexual deviation or perversion leading to the downfall of their real or imagined theocracies?
The answer lies in history, not in divine revelation. The Bible cannot dissociate itself from history: it's chock full of it, even if in highly distorted form.
What did the tribal Yahweh/Jehovah god hope to accomplish when he "freed" the Hebrew slaves from Egypt to entrap them in a place where they would be completely at his mercy - they could neither return to Egypt, where great would be their punishment, nor could they proceed to their "promised land" without military training and superior armaments. Obviously the desert was the best, perhaps the only place, where an invader "god" could hope to hide and prepare a large invasion force.
And here's the point: Jehovah needed a full victory in Canaan. He wanted to conquer that land for himself (though the real reason, the political reasons, were never given) and to do so, he needed a dedicated, single-minded army of men brainwashed and programmed to not demonstrate an ounce of compassion for their enemies. Real Men, as the Christian Right would label them. Men capable of committing any sort of atrocity and genocide in the name of their god, Saviour or Commander in Chief, and exult in their divinely sanctioned sadism.
Furthermore, this invading god needed numbers. An entire biblical book is dedicated to numbers and not surprisingly, it is titled "Numbers."
And what has homosexuality to do with any of that, you may well ask? From reason and logic, two obvious things.
One, homosexual males generally express a gentler, more nurturing nature than heterosexual males. They may have a natural tendency to feel more kindly towards their enemies than heterosexual males who naturally see other males as competitors for available females. After all, part of the fun of going to war is the appeal to the gonads: the lust for defenceless females to be raped and enslaved; tortured and killed. For sexually repressed males, especially young ones, war has traditionally been cathartic; a release from strict tribal taboos, ritualistic religion and basic established societal norms.
The second point that can be made is that if same-sex coupling was allowed, it could mean a decline in population, hence loss of numbers for the invader's war machine. Numbers! The same goes for the abortion issue which rages in "Fuddlementalist Christianity" today. Whether population or money, it's all and always a numbers game. Kids represent "souls" for the Church and numbers for the war machine or the service industry. That's the programming running amuck in the minds of right-winged Christian fundamentalists (both Catholics and Protestants) who ceaselessly rage against anyone or anything that dares think outside their pet doctrines they concoct from historically misunderstood, grossly misinterpreted Bibles.
Though this makes no sense in today's social and technological context, in the male-dominated biblical tribal context, male children are valued. Females, women, wives, mothers, are slaves of a patriarchal husband or male owner; nothing more than baby-making machines, sex-providers and servants. The same attitude towards women persists today in Hebraic clone religions such as Christianity (take any sect you want, misogyny lives there because of the One Male Tribal Patriarchal Deity rule) and of course, Islam. In the more "modern" concept gratingly cloned into Christianity, it is true that male and female children are, if superficially, equally valued. The explanation is simple: women have usurped many aspects of the "men only" world, in the service industries, as police persons and soldiers, in political leadership and even becoming pastors, church leaders and teachers despite all efforts by the Church against this trend. Hence the "value" of the female has increased accordingly within Matrix systems - subject to repeal without notice!
Before a reader jumps on me to declare that Christianity, Islam and Judaism are not the only major religions to enslave women, true . Older religions are just as oppressive of the female gender, though most tend to be ambivalent about, or quite accepting of, homosexuality. That works to support my claim about numbers. According to the point I make in this short essay, societies that already have an excess population would tend to be much less, or not at all, homophobic. Nature at work.
Now, for ten extra bonus points, can you answer this question: in what obvious, specific way does homosexuality cause harm to society in general?
Let's try for an honest, legally and morally verifiable answer to that question. With incredible luck a compassionate answer may demonstrate that Earthian society does have a slim chance to evolve mentally; to grow up in a morally responsible fashion -a non-existent condition under most political and religious agendas world-wide.

It has always intrigued me why "thou shalt not kill" is totally overlooked when one wants to kill all the existing occupants of Canaan (and rape the women first to show your superiority) in the name of God's command. God is always on the side of the victor and often on the side of the loser. When that happens, prayers always ask, why? But are never answered.

In my own opinion, sexual preference is a personal thing. What is between rights and wrongs are merely rules made by men to govern ourselves. If rules were not made, there would not have been rights from wrong. Laws made by humans also changes one day to the next, we can no longer say that being gay, or bisexual, or homosexual is wrong anymore; and God and Jesus love everyone. At the end of our journeys in life we only have to stand before God in judgment. No one on earth has the rights to judge another according to some man-made laws.
