A second personal goal I have is becoming a strategic leader who not only will affect the community but will also help provide financial stability for my family. I plan to leave a legacy not only within the community but for my family. I desire for my children and future generations not to struggle financially, having the financial resources they need to fulfill their goals. Obtaining a terminal degree in strategic leadership will provide me with the skills needed to start and grow a non-profit organization. Developing a corporation will improve my family’s financial state as well.

In addition to achieving personal goals, there are two professional goals that I can reach through the completion of the doctoral program in strategic leadership. First, I desire to develop a stronger skill set in leadership. I want to strengthen my ability to consult, manage and lead both within the church and the corporate field. Obtaining a doctorate in strategic leadership will strengthen my skills and help propel my future forward as a leader.

I want to obtain a strategic leadership degree not only to strengthen my skill set as a leader but also to develop my ability to strategize on a larger scale. I am currently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a non-profit corporation called Kingdom Expansion Enterprises (K.E.E.) Inc. I desire to sharpen my abilities as a visionary, which includes strategic planning. I would like to see K.E.E. Inc expand not only nationally but internationally as well. The doctoral degree in strategic leadership will help me to obtain a larger future plan for the corporation.

Ihave chosen Regent University to help me achieve these goals for three reasons: 1) its location, 2) its Christian foundation, and 3) having the program that best fits my career goals. Regent University is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I reside in Chesapeake, Virginia. The school’s location is not far from my residence. I would be able to complete the residency requirements and also have easy access to the school when needed.

Regent University is also a Christian based school. Since I am a Christian, I believe that I can receive an even better high level education from Regent University due to its biblical foundation. Regent University’s foundation makes it easier for me to become a part of their family. I am able to attend a school that promotes my morals and values. My reputation will also be affected by the school I choose to attend. As a prospective student of Regent University, I feel comfortable knowing that the school I am choosing to attend may develop more relationships with other individuals with similar morals and values.

In addition to its location and Christian foundation, I believe Regent University can help me achieve my goals because it offers a doctoral program in Strategic Leadership. I have a desire to grow a non-profit corporation I have started in Chesapeake, Virginia. I envision the corporation becoming a global business that empowers members of the minority communities. Regent University has a leadership doctoral program with a concentration in Strategic Leadership. I consider myself to be a leader. I have a strong passion to build leaders and an organization that would impact people’s lives all over the world. The Strategic Leadership Program at Regent University will help me strengthen my skills and achieve my career goals. 

      My desire is to receive enrollment into Regent University’s doctoral program in Strategic Leadership. There are two personal attributes that reflect my ability to successfully complete the program, which are 1) my ability to envision a project and 2) my determination to complete a project. Throughout my years of development, I have recognized that I have an ability to create a project and organize its intricate details. Once the project is formulated on paper, I have the determination to see the project to its completion despite the obstacles that may arise during the process.

      In addition to personal attributes, I have two valuable experiences that also reflect my ability to complete the program. The first experience involves my ability to complete the master’s degree program (in Social Work) through Norfolk State University (NSU). The Master’s in Social Work (MSW) program required a lot of time and endurance to complete it. I am currently en route to completing it despite the unannounced changes in policy, contract agreements, and an attack against my physical person. I have not given up on completing NSU’s MSW program despite the problems that arose outside of my sphere of influence.

      The second experience involves the non-profit corporation that I have started in Chesapeake, Virginia.  While completing the MSW program, I was able to start a non-profit corporation. I had a vision for business and did not hesitate to get started. I am currently the CEO of the corporation. There are members apart of the corporation’s board of directors and potential staff workers as well.

      After completing my research of schools that offered doctoral programs, I have concluded that Regent University is the best fit for me. Regent will help me achieve my personal and professional goals. My personal attributes and previous experiences help reflect my ability to successfully complete the Doctor of Strategic Leadership Program at Regent University.
