However, on occasions, one of these examples surfaces, with yes, a face, and heart much like ours, hence, personalizing it considerably.

Often in writing a daily commentary, especially one that focuses on people, yes, the wondrous two legged beast we fondly refer to as mankind, one can often offend I think, without intention being breathed.

Often when penning my daily commentary, I will invoke examples, which represent society as a whole or in part, to use folk as examples, always will single out some! Without taking such liberties abounding, there remains no examples left to use!

I in no wise ever seek to cast folk in a light of embarrassment incurred due to my words freely breathed, yet I feel strongly that each and all of us serve as sparkling subjects of vast humor abounding, yet unearthed! With that said, may I state as well, that I invoke the same mantle as a comedian does often, one of leaving no stoned unturned in my desire to invoke both laughter and thought for good!

However, on occasions, one of these examples surfaces, with yes, a face, and heart much like ours, hence, personalizing it considerably. hence, personalizing it considerably. When this happens, I being a serious and sober man, and gentle of spirit, always am forced to reassess the words I cast! Yes, are they hurtful? Sometimes upon reflection I fear that they are!

My Daddy always taught me that it takes a big man to admit he was wrong! I am not a big man, for I do not admit to intentional wrong, for I seek never in malice to injure another human being, unless one is deserving of such! But I will admit this, I do on occasions cast words carelessly perhaps, not considering the subject I use. I could of course, defend this possible foible and seeming defect of character, and turn it into a mere attribute instead! For I am indeed good at defending my stance, especially when I have discovered in embarrassment, that I could have been wrong, as well as insensitive to another.

With that said, I have no intention of serving up such a defense on my behalf this day! For the embarrassment I feel is due this day, likened unto the sick feeling, that rides upon a child's heart when they KNOW they have done wrong! Yes, conscience pricked!

I can assure all of my readers of this fact, I never set out to cause anything but a smile or provoked thought to ride and streak across the face of the elite readership of Rodney's Painted Pen! Yet, sometimes I fear I fail in this regard.

For I have never agreed totally with comedians in their incessant bad humor in regards to the O. J. trial and murder for instance, nor The Robert Blake affair! For I find nothing funny about murder at large!

So this day I salute the those I have caused pain too, and shall attempt to continue to find a way to still showcase the humor, I feel we all are imbued in, yet shall attempt to find a more gentile way of a delivery, basted in a touch more thought.
