Finding a loophole to survive the endless hours in just one idle day.

I have always had a career even as a mother of three. It was far from easy,stressful more often than not, yet I thrived on it. I did on occassion day dream about the leisurely lifestyle retirement would bring. When the day came(in retrospect) way too soon. I pulled out my easel and painted and painted and painted, I gave oils away to family and good friends who asked for them.(I'm sure my husband begged them to as our walls were full.) I started to write my stories,all the goofy stories I told to my kids and grandkids. Two hobbies I barely had time to work at when I worked. I even studied Interior Decorating and got my degree. All rewarding as a personal accomplishment and still so but being free as a Dove is not my style.
I crave a super duper; got to, have to, must do, not just like to, life.
Am I crazy? We retired from the North to the South where warm, sunny weather prevails most of the year to the point where I sometimes wish for a rainy day, just to go to the movies. I do not enjoy golf or tennis(and yes I did give it my best try.) I loved to play racquetball, and bowl,(hmmm..) indoor sports, no bugs, alligators,snakes, humidity.) Just learned something about me; I like to be comfortable.I do like the pool and those of you who have read my bio know I am a beach lover. Yes! Thats what brought this together. I LOVE the beach. I have, all my life lived near enough to enjoy the wonder of a cup of coffee, a newspaper and a peaceful quiet early morning stroll. At this time of day even seagulls are considered white noise. The beaches have been an issue of concern for many years and while most of the major dumping of chemicals has come to a halt,dumping of trash and careless oil spills,till occur.
These are things I can only speak of and lobby our officials to handle, but trash left on the beaches by humans who spend an afternoon of fun and relaxation is an issue I can get involved in. It is estimated 60,000.000 lbs of this type of potentially harmful garbage is removed yearly from our beaches.This is despicable especially because there are trash bins near every exit.
So after writing and publishing Olivia's Magic Conch, I decided to get on the band wagon with a website and see how many soldiers I can recruit to spread the word. We need the ocean and beaches to be clean and healthy for food, medicine and scientific study. For beautiful birds, and other wildlife for fish and crustation for many reasons yet to be revealed. One day we may need to drink desalinated water from our oceans as do many who live on islands. If we do not educate the kids about the importance of our most valuable commodity, it will not be of value for future generations. PAZAP is in the making. Stay close for more information.
