A few years ago, I told my primary doctor, that I was suffering from hemorrhoids, and he replied, "Everybody suffers from hemorrhoids!" I am not a doctor, but I guess it's a big problem all across the United States. After trying several medical medications, I finally solved my problem, but it took time.

I tried about six defferent medications, and none of them worked.  And then, I remember standing in a line to get my prescriptions, and I over-heard someone say something about Volcanic Oil.

I come from a family of ten kids...5 boys and 5 girls.  My mother used to live and die on Volcanic Oil...and she used it for everything.  If us kids had a sticker; a scratch; a fall or injury of some type or a cold or flu...she would always say, "Put some Volcanic Oil on it."  This is how us kids grew up in the 1950's and 60's.

Volcanic Oil was as handy at the salt and pepper on the kitchen table.  I didn't think it was made anymore, as the company is over 100 years old, and dates back to the Civil War.  After I over-heard that man mention it in line that day, I started looking for it...with no luck in town, after I called three health stores.  I finally went to the Internet, and there I found it, and I ordered it as soon as my little fingers would move on the keyboard, etc.

And today (2013), you can get Volcanic Oil through Amazon.  Go to Amazon, and key in "Volcanic Oil" and up will pop up all you need.  I bought the Oil about three years ago, and It cost me about ten dollars (including shipping) for about a 4 oz bottle.  I didn't care about the cost, I just wanted some relieve.  All the health food stores in town, told me that they had never heard of Volcanic Oil.  When I found the Volcanic Oil, I Googled in "Volcanic Oil," and much information came up, along with the Dr. J.H. McLean's Company, where I purchased my bottle.  Either way, I just advise the reader to be patient, because there's no fast cure...and stay with it.  Some of these old remedies stll do wonders...even if the companies are over 100 years old.  Some of the old remedies are better than the one's today...

With a family of ten kids, somebody was always using Volcanic Oil for one thing or another.  It was sure pretty popular around our family.  The one thing that I suggest...is to be patient...it might take a little time, for you to see results.  I remember, I got a sack of cotton balls, and got started, and I never had any hope of overnight results...everything takes time.  If you have tried many other madications, like I have, this may be your last hope...so stay with it.  Maybe you'll have good results like I did.

In February, 2013, I was 68 years young, and I have never had a bout with constipation, until the year 2009, when I was given the medication for diabetes...metformin.  I found myself doubled-over and in the emergency room for 12 yours.  After I was released from the ER, I pondered as to whether I should write about the embarrassing and delicate subject.

What is one of the best ways to learn?  From others, right?  Learn from their experiences...both good and bad; their education; wisdom; skills and talents, etc.  In 2006, I got into writing, to help people.  So, I decided to write about the constipation...like it or not!

The piece was entitled, "CONSTIPATION; Saying Hello to a Costly Enema."  The most amazing thing happened with this article.  During the next three years, this piece slowly climbed the charts...and unbeknownst to me, the piece took the #1 spot in hits/views and popularity!  That was in 2012, and a year later, I am still amazed at what happened!

So, I didn't write this piece because I want to see it to top charts.  I wrote this piece to help others, especially those who are suffering.  I hope this piece does half as well as the constipation piece, so the word can be gotten out...but, I'm not holding my breath.

I remember one day, recently, I was walking down the sidewalk, and I tripped over my own EGO, and I fell into the gutter and scraped my elbow and knee, etc.  As I lay there in the gutter laughing and watching the traffic go by, I remembered my mother and what she would have said to me..."Jerry, put Volcanic Oil on it."

After being “banded” (a rubber band around the suckers to cut off the blood supply and cause them to die) about eight times by a big blonde Hilda the Hun––actually quite nice while she was doing the wrapping and several other ladies in the room were admiring my behind, I was cured of the “roids."

I have never heard of Volcanic Oil, but I'll look it up on Google to see if you're just pulling my leg––right left or middle I don't care. I might find some use for it. In our family it was “Grandma's Salve.” Although my grandfather made it from deer tallow, herbs and other fine ingredients. It cured just about everything, and probably was pretty good for hemorrhoids. The best part was that it was free because it was homemade.

My helpers about to prepare a concoction of baked pineapple juice (you bake the pineapple first, and then squeeze the juice out of it) and alum that is supposed to dissolve kidney stones. It seemed to do the job back when I had stones in both kidneys around 2004. My lithotripsy doctor wondered why after only one $7000 treatment he couldn't get any more money because they were gone––poor soul.

Keep up the good work, I love punny stuff.

Ron
