Grassroots Politics: How to Win.

You are about to learn how to wage guerrilla war on the politics-as-usual system.

This manual was written by people involved in countering anti-gun radicals and the examples are related to that cause. However, the principles can and should be used by any freedom loving citizen who wants to save his country from plunging into the abyss of facism. Some of you may be too young to remember that what is going on in the United States under Barak Hussien Obama and a leftist congress is frighteningly similar to what happened in Germany when Hitler took power. (You don’t have to believe me, just do a little research on your own.)

Today, American citizens are locked in a struggle with formidable antagonists. The fight is being carried on at every level of society. The enemy is well-organized, well-financed, well-educated and very, very tenacious. The conflict is not simply over the private ownership of firearms; it is much more profound than that. The struggle is not merely between people with differences of opinion, but with two completely different views of life.

The faction against whom we must win is well organized, well funded and purposeful. They do not consider us capable of managing our own affairs. They are out to control every aspect of our lives—to impose their will no matter what we want and no matter what our Constitution and Bill of Rights say. To do so they must first disarm the American public.

Those of us in the grassroots movement of America ardently believe that we are the captains of our own destiny. Sovereignty rests with the individual, not with some self-appointed (or even elected!) group of elitists or political gangsters. We believe each person is independent, and not subject to judgment by anyone, unless he or she first treads on the rights of another. We are free men and women and must, at all costs, retain adequate power to preserve and defend our freedom.

The only legitimate reason for anyone to interfere with another person’s conduct is self protection. The only actions for which any person is answerable to society are those actions that affect others. Where one’s conduct concerns only oneself, independence is absolute—and rightly so. Whether or not to own and carry a gun is a matter of personal choice. Choices about this and other matters are the essence of a free society.

The fundamental question in this battle is whether rights are held universally by all the people or are reserved only for those who have the political power to get their own way. Do we, as individuals, have the moral authority to make decisions about our own lives, lifestyles, and property—without permission from any political party, government agency, or even our neighbors?  The answer, we ardently believe (as did our founding fathers), is, “Yes. Absolutely.”

But the kicker is when push comes to shove who has the raw force to carry the day?  Who is responsible for our liberty?

Neither representative government nor democratic suffrage alone is sufficient to guarantee our freedom of thought and action. We, as individuals, must actively safeguard individual liberty from oppression. And it matters not whether the oppression is imposed by the physical force of law or the emotional force of public opinion. We must protect our own liberties.

We all watched, with trepidation and dismay, the hateful actions of the federal government at Ruby Ridge, Idaho and Waco, Texas. In both cases powerful federal agencies decided to murder some of our fellow citizens. These were perfect examples of absolute power corrupting absolutely. And now we have the presidency and congress controlled by a group of leftist/Marxists who want to change the United States into a fascist state.The only good news I have for you is that, for a short while, we still have the ability to correct the things wrong in this country and to stop the would-be rulers from destroying this country.

Doing Something About It

The question that I hear most is “what can I do about it? I’, just one person. ” Several years ago, three friends and I saw that if we were going to preserve freedom for our grandchildren we had to get off our butts and organize a network of gun-owners, sportsman and other freedom-loving people into an effective activist organization. Most often, by the time we learned of a bill, ordinance or regulation that would affect us negatively, it was already coming to a vote, or worse it was a fait accompli. We were getting the information too late for us to do anything. So we began a telephone network designed to get information about pending legislation to people in time for them to do something about it.

Then our group decided that one anti-gun legislator needed to be fired. So we informed him and his legislative companions that we were going to remove him in the upcoming election and replace him with someone who would listen to us. They laughed at us. Well, we did get off our arses, and we did organize the gun owners in the 24th Legislative District of Washington state. And we did throw the bastard out, by 22 percent of the vote. Now we have the rapt attention of our representatives. Now they call us about gun bills and anything else having to do with hunting, or shooting or anything else that might effect us.  Now they listen to us—not always because they want to, but because they know that We, the People demand them to be our representatives, not our rulers.

Because we were successful we put together a  book on how to do it. It’s entitled Grassroots Politics, to describe in detail, how you and your friends can take charge of your lives and liberties. If you follow these guidelines, I guarantee you will be successful in becoming the local group that controls the politics in your area. If enough of us do this we will control the politics of our states, then of the nation. We will control politics, as it was meant to be controlled; citizens controlling the government—and not the other way around.

Remember: We can accomplish anything, if we are willing to pay the price. Sometimes the price is high. Certainly it involves eternal vigilance and hard work. The battle is not for the faint of heart.  But it can be won, and this country will be the land of the free and home of the brave once again.
