We are the only ones that can bring happiness back into our lives. ~Peace~

~Sadness~ View Image

Sadness is a feeling that hits us when we loose a loved one, rejected by love, and always when we fail. We don’t try to fail, and never understand when it keeps hitting us. I think sometimes a black cloud sticks around to teach us a lesson.  It is when the cloud sticks around for many years that you start to loose your spirit. Like the cloud is sucking all the energy and light out of you. You feel drained and have pain everywhere. Stress can cause so many health problems. That is why just releasing your feelings is a start to feeling better. We all have to go through our grief cycle.

After I found my father deceased I was in shock, and couldn’t breathe. Then I was really angry and lost my faith. After that came isolation, and writing. Getting all the emotions out on paper and reading the words helped me heal. Then I realized: “Wow- I’m really depressed.” No wonder I am spending so much time alone in my room. I am a Debbie Downer no fun kind of girl.

The isolation, and out of touch reality made me depressed.  I never wanted to burden anyone with my sadness so I'd just hide. I think a little bit of alone time is good, but not too much! The light has to come in through the windows or you will descend deeper into a well of sadness.

I know part of my sadness is feeling alone and missing the father that was so important to me. Just the other day I found a penny in the year my father passed and burst out crying. The tears wouldn't stop and I wanted him back. We have to say what we need to say before it is too late. Time is so precious for our loved ones. They are living on borrowed time, and any day, could be the last.

Don’t let anymore time pass…Pick up the phone, and spend some time talking. We have to do that now because there won’t be a later. Love family no matter what they do. They really are all we have in the end. Treasure them, and you will have no regret. Remember, sadness can always be replaced with happiness. Sometimes we just need to cry a river before the rainbow will appear.
