Soon, all of us here today will go into the past. When our teeth will no longer be useful for meat, when our time is up, and the sun is out of our faces. How would you want your legacy to be told to the next generation who are anxiously waiting to be fed with very nice stories of their ancestors would be determine by what you have done for the society.
Not a quotation, but certainly some wise words expressed. I had steak for the Fourth of July yesterday, so I guess I'm not ready go yet. Come to think of it, my father lost his teeth in his 20s, but thanks to dentistry and false teeth he enjoyed steak up until he died. And, I just went out this morning to enjoy the sun in my face and listen to and watch the birds come to our birdfeeder. My legacy is in my books, published and widely distributed. Including my autobiography that my ancestors can read about how quaint my life was.
You just reminded me of the time I visited my younger brother. We had pizza and all of my younger nieces and nephew gathered around and started asking all kinds of about my travels, etc. What a joy to share my adventures with younger generations.
