Understanding why he isn't taking you serious in your relationship.

If you are wondering why you feel like your spouse/partner isn't taking you serious it could very well be because he just isn't that into you. Anyone who takes you seriously will be very interested in your well-being even down to the small details like how your day went and whether you have ate.

The problem is sometimes we find that we get emotionally involved with a person who is not yet emotionally aware of themselves and although at times we know this, we tend to ignore it because our emotions get in the way of right and wrong. That isn't our fault and it isn't really theirs either, it can be hard recognising whether or not we have a good emotional understanding of ourselves before we get emotionally involved with another so don't take it personal.

If you are wondering if this is the case for you because he is ignoring you or doesn't ever seem interested in you. Maybe you feel like you want more than him and maybe that is the case. It is always a good idea to just ask and if all else fails remember that you are worth more than someone who doesn't have any interest in you.

Ron summed it up perfectly. One must love themselves first and be able to live independently. The other half is just the frosting on the cake.

Perfectly balanced relationships are hard to find. I have found that some people seem to demand so much more from a relationship than is really required to keep it going. We must love ourselves first. Those that need someone else to constantly confirm that they are lovable generally have low self-esteem or ability to be comfortable without the validation from someone else. This usually leads to codependency and unhealthy, dysfunctional relationships.
