This story started off as some notes that I took after long rides with my brother to upstate NY. I listened to his stories about his tour as a US Army Field Medic and I thanked God, for he must have been watching over him.
I started this story at the dawn of the melenium and it is just this past year that it is where it should be, and getting 5star reviews along the way. As a new author, I was taken in by "Publish America," it took years to get my rights back from them, but at least their editor helped form it up into a workable story. From their the feedback started and the reviews were good but I could see their was room for improvement.
With the help of my editor Matt, the new 4th edition took a lot of reasearch and thought. Using reasearch and going over my notes, I made the book as acurate as possible to reflect the lives of soldiers, and their struggles in the Vietnam War. The cover was also redone to an actual scene from the war.
The end result is BULLETS AND BANDAGES: BOND OF BROTHERS has obtained ten consecutive five-star reviews, and I'm thankful for that, it keeps me motivated to write more.

For new authors, be patient, do the reasearch, and find a good reputable and reasonable editor, the critical eye, proper grammar and format are essentail for the finished novel.
I have been writing all my life but learn something new every day and try to incorporate it into the next thing that I write. Fortunately, my first publisher who rejected me and my first novel when it stopped selling, taught me a lesson. My next publisher with a lot of cheap money and huge ambition, told me to join AD, so I did. I, too, had to republish second editions of my first two novels because promised editing was not done and I was naïve enough not to check.
Nothing like experience as a good teacher.
