When is the last time you felt good? Take your life back today. What are you waiting for?

Sing to me Muse and through me, tell the story. — Robert Fitzgerald

What is Food to You?

Is food, love?
Is food, community?
Is food, energy?
Is food, pleasure?
Is food, sustenance?
Is food, power?
Is food, happiness?
Is food, life?
Is food, nutrients?
Is food, compassion?
Is food, junk, chemicals, toxins, pesticides, herbicides, and/or fast and easy?

I ask because what if I told you: if you changed how you eat, it could cure your pain; would you do it?

If you eat to live rather than lived to eat, what would it look like?

If you eat nutrient-dense foods and foods for sustenance, can it still bring you pleasure?

You know that it could bring you health. Does that resonate with you? Your body needs nutrients for life. Feeding your body chemicals cannot sustain you, which is why we are seeing so much disease.

10% of the population currently has diabetes.
33% of our population is pre-diabetics and will have diabetes in 5 years.
39% of our population has or will get cancer.
53 million Americans have autoimmune diseases, mostly females. (This includes 1 in 5 females and 1 in 7 males)

If you eat more nutrient-dense foods and could avoid all of this, would you do it?
Does this resonate?

Why do you do what you do when you know what you know? — Dr. Libby Weaver

Can you eat nutrient dense foods that still bring you pleasure? What would that look like? Could you show love in ways other than with food? Could you enjoy community from other perspectives?

What if clean food could still bring you pleasure? If you reframed the foods you eat by using real ingredients, with real nutrients, and still had yummy things to eat, would that bring you pleasure?

Could that bring you the same happiness?

If food made you healthy could it bring you more happiness?

I am here to tell you, yes, it can. Don’t wait until you get sick to discover “real food.” Eliminate all of the ingredients that you can’t pronounce. Buy live foods. Cook. Sit around the table at home with your loved ones. Eat plants. Choose from all of the colors of the rainbow. They each have some wonderful gift to give to you.

You have to discover what food means to you, and then you need to reframe food so that you fill the same emotions with healthy substitutions.

Food can make you well, food can keep you well, or food can make you sick as hell.

Avoid all of the chemicals; avoid all the fake ingredients and most of your health battles are over. Your body will heal itself.

Good health doesn’t have to be difficult. It isn’t about deprivation. Good health is about the joy of finding the life that you have always wanted but didn’t know how to get.

Good health is about reframing what you have been eating and making different choices that offer the benefit of feeding your body lovely nutrients. Real food has the added benefit of bringing you vitality. It will make you glow. These foods will highlight your beauty.

You are only one decision away from a totally different life. – Unknown
You are indescribably delicious. Live with intent. Live life with pleasure and gusto. Be healthy.

– Cheryl

Hi Ron. I believe we have interacted before. I am so happy that you adopted a healthier way of eating and that you realized early on how important it is to cook your food. You are an example to be admired by all, and I think you are a super hero. I am so sorry that you are dealing with your horrific condition, but admire your tenacity and attitude. Thanks so much for chiming in. I am hoping that your bravery in sharing your story will help others. Sending you a big hug. Cheryl

I was partially paralyzed (upper body--hands and arms) during surgery when I was 20. Shortly after, I learned that I was lactose intolerant, largely due to a neurologic bowel from the paralysis. Two factors caused me to change my diet: poverty and health.

As a student, I found that renting an apartment with others and making my own food was far cheaper than restaurant or dormitory fare. I came to enjoy cooking as a relaxation from the stressful pressure of school. I didn't waste time either because eating at home was much faster than wasting time getting served in a restaurant. I had been a wrestler and already knew what kinds of food were best for me. I also picked up on scientific results about the dangers of certain food products throughout my life and either stopped eating them or cut back on them.

The result, after 55 years where my paralysis has creeped into every part of my body making me quadriplegic and very dependent on others… Is that I am still healthy. Primarily because a good cook that doesn't eat meat and provides me with fresh vegetables and beautifully cooked food every day just like I did for myself for 30 years. So many others with paralysis like mine have died. But I just received the results of my latest blood tests and everything is still normal. I have none of the conditions that you write about in your article that inflicts the US population.

Ron
