More like, the growth rate of patina.

Hello Everyone,

I'd first like to talk about something that is making me irate. A few days ago we got a notice on our apartment door for a fire alarm inspection. Today is the final day for them to enter, and they're not coming into our apartment. I actually saw them skip our door.

Our fire alarm works, but this is the fifth out of six times in the last six or seven months where a notice has been posted on our door and no one shows up.

Granted, we don't have to be here, but since this is low-income housing, we don't trust anyone coming into our place. Not to mention that, we're not supposed to have so many animals in here.

It's so frustrating that we choose to sideline our schedule only to have no one show. You usually get fired for not showing up three or more times for work. However, no punishment is administered for their no-show. If they know that they're not coming into our apartment, then they shouldn't put a notice on our door, right?

Anycase, now that the rant is over, I titled this blog to talk about how close I'm getting to certain milestones, and how slow it seems to be to get there.

The one I'm most excited about is that, Memistry on Facebook/Meta is at 996 followers. Just four more!

I just checked, and an author just followed me on Mastodon to get me to 50 followers. I'm up to 76 followers on Medium, and on there, I have seen a spike in engagement. I feel like I finally passed some kind of threshold and more people are seeing my posts.

The only site that doesn't inch along is this one. The only stat that does is bio hits, and that's to be expected. Although, I do plan to change my bio picture once it reaches 1,000. It's currently at 819.

I still have only sold one book on Smashwords and its affiliates, and that's with very little promotion on my part. I can only afford promoting for free, which is like a grain of salt so to speak.

To be honest, sometimes I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, except for the writing part. I at least know that I'm doing that part right, most of the time.
