What on Earth do you do with a kumquat?

Hello Everyone,

Once again, I had not planned to write a blog today. This one will be hard to write.

We'll start off with some non-bad news. On Medium, Pinkies Are Expensive, has gotten to over 200 views, but still no new reads pushing the read ratio down to 4%.

So, where should I start? I suppose I need to come clean and explain that the people I have been speaking of about the crazy situation is my wife, her mother, and the man's name is Rob.

I'm coming clean because her mother died yesterday. We're still waiting to hear back about the autopsy and toxicology report. However, it's looking like she died from a heart attack.

They had left the hotel in Edmunds and had somehow procured a car and were living in it next to a local park.

We are quite devastated to say the least. We still think that it was somehow foul play, but to us, it will still be his fault at least indirectly.

It was strange though. The other night, my wife started complaining about her belly button. It was somehow leaking and causing a burning rash. We're both convinced that it was a sign, though.

Just like how we were tired yesterday and took a nap. She had woken up to go to the bathroom, and then I woke up about a minute later and rolled over. Just then, there was a call from a number I didn't recognize.

I handed her the phone, and when she googled the number, she immediately started wailing and crying as it was the medical examiner's number.

I somehow knew in that moment as well. I knew it would eventually become a more serious situation, but I didn't ever think it would involve her death.

It's possible that, on top of all the stress he was putting her through, and the fact that she was without her blood pressure medication for almost a week prior to her death, that's what did her in.

Needless to say, I probably won't be writing for a while. We're in that numb phase right now.

Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful day....[[|:-|

River of Memories: An Appalachian Boyhood by David Thompson

For a time, I perched myself on a flat rock, comparing my life with the Guyandotte River. Just as its tributaries replenish it daily, changing it in some small—sometimes great—degree, so have the day-to-day occurrences of life changed me. Like the ri
