So many Christians assume Jesus was speaking Symbolically and or Metaphorically but that is a very uninformed conclusion since there were many factors leading to the fact that Jesus was speaking Literally.

Repeating those verses over and over again. Jesus was making His Point very clear.  Jesus allowed all the Disciples to go away without even asking them to stay and understand what He was actually saying. Jesus Meant what He said and He was not going to change it.

Allowing 400-600 Disciples to leave and then turning to the 12 Apostles and asking them if they were going to leave too, allowing them all to leave Him. Jesus was risking His plan of Salvation of the World on their decision.  He allowed them to use their Free Will and choose what their hearts told them to do.  Jesus would never allow them to make a choice if they were misinterpreting His Words.  

Now I challenge each and every one of you to make a decision.  Here is the question:

I now pose a question for all Christians.

Project yourself on your last moments here on earth and you are presented with a question. There is a Catholic priest offering you the Holy Eucharist and a Prostestant minister offering the Last Supper to you. You can only choose one and it is safe to say they are not the same. 

Which one would you decide to consume and why? For those that assume they are both the same thing need to reread John 6:51-68. The present day Last Supper Meal is a symbolic representation of the past.

The Holy Eucharist is not symbolic. It is the most precious Gift we have today.
