What happens when all of a sudden...

What happens when something goes wrong?  What happens when, all of sudden, a loved one develops a health problem?  Some may require assistance with a physical challenge, when before they could run and move freely.  Others may need medical attention and spend time receiving treatment and rest… 

Many experiences happen during life to equip us with as much understanding as possible within a life span.  Either directly or indirectly, each of us comes across someone who teaches us deep, sacred lessons, simply by the way they cope with their burden.  If equilibrium of health is lost within one’s own body, life’s lessons come flooding through everyday.  In whatever way we are taught lessons of nature, the fruits of learning are the greatest sweetness; bursting with empathy’s light. 


Something can be said about the statement: ‘one must suffer in order to know compassion’.  The proof is in the proactive pudding.  It seems we need to experience what we shield our eyes and look away from, before we can move with open arms to the direction in need.  A loving nod, simple smile, or wave can be all it takes to show we can see others and care.  We can forget ourselves for one split second and dive into another’s existence, even if only for the briefest, vital moment.

The depth of human connection is so powerful; it must be shared with all.  Unknowable quantities of essential energy link people and it’s our duty to share as much loving contact as possible.  We share it by sharing our humanness.  We share our humanness by taking time to engage in some simple – yet always unique, everyday exchange.

This is something I really needed to read today..,for it bears out what I believe deeply, yet is hard to go through. This article offers us a positive experience whilst we go through seemingly negative events within our lives. We have to find 'the diamond in the dung heap' to understand that our difficult life journey's are often of immense value to us, and often tremendously life enhancing. The power of 'connection' is also a gift we can give daily to others to 'light up their lives'...Thank you for these timely reminders. Excellent piece. Best wishes, Love Diana.

Susie this is a well written adn honest piece and knowing it comes from you I can feel the sincerity of it as well. YOu are so right in your thoughts on the subject and I know that you practise what you preach. Hearing from you no matter how sick I am or down I am always brings a smile to my lips.
