Seeking the advice of a psychic by phone seems quite popular these days but what they really tell you doesn't add up to much in advice but it does add up to quite a bit at prices as high as $4.99 a minute!

Recently, I started receiving phone calls from a psychic network offering me free readings. At first I kept refusing but as the calls became a daily annoyance I finally decided to go ahead and accept the two free readings that they were offering. During these two readings I talked to two different psychics and found out quite a bit although what I discovered had nothing to do with my life or the future.

I was told that the first five minutes of the call would be free and that every minute thereafter would cost $4.99 per minute. I was further instructed that if I did not want to incur any charges that I would need to end the call once the five free minutes of the reading had expired. I soon realized that these people are no more psychic than I am but they are experts in making small talk to keep the unsuspecting client on the phone.

Both psychics that I spoke with were very pleasant and personable but rather unskilled as psychics. Although these psychic networks are meant to be for entertainment purposes only, I must say that I did not even find the experience the least bit entertaining.

While talking with psychic number one there were long pauses of silence throughout the conversation, she stuttered a bit and asked me several questions. Although her demeanor was quite pleasant, she told me nothing of relevancy to my life but instead spoke of her own personal past experiences and those of other clients.

The second psychic that I spoke with was even more obvious in her lack of psychic abilities and entertainment skills. She made small talk about the weather in her location and asked me what the weather was like in my area. She went on to tell me what she really does for a living. Whenever I asked her a question she would abruptly change the subject and try to pull me back into a swamp of small talk. I could barely get a word in long enough to be able to end the conversation.

Although I do believe that there are people who are gifted with psychic abilities, I certainly do not believe that many true psychics will be found through the phone network. If you are looking for insight, look elsewhere. If you are looking for entertainment, you can find more entertaining activities other than this, at a fraction of the cost.
