Be Vigilant! Don't Let This Happen To Your Loved One!
We’re living in a world thwart with problems, diseases—you name it, which boggles the mind. Thank God, as believers, we understand the source of this darkness. But God, in His mercy, has provided a way for us to deal with these troubling times, and that is, through His son, Jesus. Only a few have accepted this gift of grace and really seek Him in time of need.
But the rest of the world is divided in this regard. Yet, it has not provided an alternative, leaving many to deal with their problems themselves. They soon lose hope, though, and disaster strikes when the devil comes prowling to devour the weak.
Today, I received an email from a friend in New Zealand. Below is an excerpt:

Hi
Wasn't anticipating coming back to you quite so soon but just to let you know that Pauline phoned to advise that Bev. from the gym, who she used to walk with/talk to etc hanged herself from the branch of a tree at home - Friday I think. Pauline was sure that you would be au fait with who Bev. was but as I didn't know a lot of participants by name I cant place her. Apparently she had been suffering from depression (with anorexia thrown in) Understand that her husband made a statement something like 'for gxyx.*% sake snap out of it' and then came home to find her. Not the sort of comment to make to one who suffers from depression. Their daughter is aged 18.
This should never have happened. Even her husband didn’t take the trouble to help, perhaps he didn’t understand. Sadly, he has lost his wife, and their daughter, a mother. There is little anyone can do now, except learn from this and be more aware of those around them.
So, if you know or suspect there is someone in your circle who might be suffering in one way or another, reach out to them. Perhaps you might be that life-support they’re longing for, but they were ashamed to admit they had a problem in the first place. Let’s not lose a dear one to situations like this, it’s heart-breaking to those left behind, and who knows where that lost soul might end up!
Yes, much prayer is needed for our confused world. Depression and anorexia are two of our biggest enemies, especially for our young ladies. Chose life! Sorry for the gloomy news. I promise to make you smile next time!
“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.” (Psalm 33:18-19 KJ)
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; He that keepeth thee will not slumber.” ( Psalm 121:1-3 KJ)
