MANY are on the Path to Destruction and Eternal Damnation.
Matthew 7:13-14:
The Narrow and Wide Gates
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Although this message is not politically correct, Jesus stated numerous times that MANY will follow that path to destruction and eternal damnation. On one occasion, Jesus even mentioned that during Judgment Day, “MANY” will say to him Lord, Lord, and yet He will declare, “Depart from me you doers of iniquity, for I have never knew you”. One of the most popular parables illustrates the Kingdom of Heaven through the story of the sower, which the reader should consider carefully. There was a sower that began to sow seed within his field. The results were as follows:
1) Some seeds fell along the path and the birds quickly consumed them
2) Some seeds fell along rocky places, which sprang up quickly, but withered away for it did not have any root
3) Some seeds fell among the thorns, but when it began to grow it was choked out of its life sustaining nutrients, making it unfruitful
4) Finally, some seeds were sown amongst good soil which yielded much fruit.
Matthew 13:18-23
Parable of the Sower
18"Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21But since he has no root, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly falls away. 22The one who received the seed that fell among the thorns is the man who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it unfruitful. 23But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it (within his heart). He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown."
The sad reality is that MANY, to include a number of self-professed Christians are on the wide path to destruction. There are many who go to church every Sunday, but their lives do not bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. There is no transformation in their lives. There is no fruit as a testimony to this transformation. Furthermore, there are MANY on this wide road that believe that, “God is a Loving God that would Never Exact Judgment on the Person who Lives a Good Life” – according to their interpretation of what a good or bad life is. Welcome to the wide road if you believe in that lie. The bible is very clear that FEW will find the narrow and straight road that leads to the Kingdom of God.
I STRONGLY believe that we are living in the END TIMES, with prophecy after prophecy from thousands of years ago being fulfilled. At the end of the day, over 1/3 of the world’s population will be destroyed in fire… My question to you is simple. If you were to stand before Jesus today, would he usher you in by proclaiming, “Welcome my good and faithful servant unto the Joy of the Lord” or would he say, “Depart from me you doer of iniquity, for I have never knew you”?

However, in John it also states that "Unless a Man be Born Again, He cannot Enter the Kingdom of God". There are many who know God, who are in Church on Sunday but you would not know them from any other sinner during the remainder of the week. Jesus also said that if you Love me you will obey my commandments. And,,, you will know them by their fruit.
The word "Many" is emphasized by Jesus due to many false conversions. That is why there are now more divorces in the Christian community than the secular one. Also, 47% of those proclaiming themselves as being within the Judeo/Christian community are having abortions. And,,, in some pulpits they are embracing alternative lifestyles, contrary to God's word.
Yes, we are saved by Grace --- but the gift of Salvation must by accepted and embraced as with any gift and not merely acknowledged as it remains unwrapped within the box.
