Restoring A Sister With Love
by Neidre Mychals
Rated "G" by the Author.

People don't always behave themselves as expected. Sometimes they're right in what they're doing, sometimes they're wrong. They are usually missed either way. But how do you recapture the relationship when its been changed by disagreement...

She was not only missing church, ladies bible class and Friday lunch, she wasn’t calling her sisters anymore and she wasn’t home to answer their calls.  Rumor had it that she was hanging out with a guy who wasn’t in the church.  A bad boy type who she would not be able to convert, but rather he was turning her to accept the street lifestyle.

And so, the Sister Circle went to her home—unexpected and late in the evening.  They dropped off a bouquet of flowers.  Each sister provided a single flower for the bouquet.  Some flowers were silk, some chose to give a fresh flower.  Attached to each flower was a small piece of paper with a short note written on it.  Each note contained the name of the flower, why it was chosen for the bouquet and the significance of the absent sister’s membership to the group.

Well…she was at the next Circle gathering, and she didn’t come in sheepishly or with a negative, guilty attitude.  The restoration bouquet was filled with so much love that she went back so she could have an opportunity to return some of that love.

Its important when you have a difficult and sensitive matter to confront that you do so without the force.  Browbeating, direct confrontation, accusations, never win over anyone to your way of thinking. Whereas, simple shows of love never fail.

Neidre Mychals’ externalized self takes many forms, most notably those of writer, storyteller, word artist, cultural critic and Christian thinker, and information publisher.  With over 20 years as a writing professional, her credits include the writing and development of print books/ magazine and newspaper articles, short stories, radio/video scripts and funding proposals.  She recently escaped the world of business communications to write more about the techniques she has learned and the experiences she has shared in as a LifeStyle Coach.
