Somali Pirates are really pissing me off...........

Here we have a country with no real formal government, ruled by fuedalistic warlords, now killing Americans distributing Bibles, hoping for a little change. I don't mean the kind of change in Egypt, no, they want Greenbacks, Dinero, Piasters.

Operating off "Mother Ships" they can stay at sea for months looking for that big score. Just last week they hijacked an oil tanker and got a 9.2 million dollar payoff. I guess when it only costs about 40K to start a pirate operation, it's a good business model. I can see why our friend Abdi-Noor had to flee.

So what now? Of course it is impractical and unethical to arm merchant ships, and also impracticle to patrol millions of square miles of ocean with just a navy. Isn't it time the U.N. stepped in and stopped this. This is not just an American problem, it effects the whole civilized world.

I am not in favor of unilateral action by any nation against another. But if the U.N. doesn't condem and take action, we should. We are dealing with Thugs here and not a Sovereign Nation. We know where they are and who they are.

"Mother Ships"....Phooey. The U.S. has satelites that can read a pack of cigarets from space. We could find them. Blow the Mothers out of the water. And pirate's camps, We could be done with these Pirate camps in an afternoon. What are we waiting for, more innocent lives lost?

I hate to add this, but I have to attribute this whole incedent to stupidity on the Captain's part, intentionally emperiling his crew by leaving the safety of a regatta and then sailing into verified unfriendly waters. Delivering Bibles aside.
