One of the top five best concerts of my lifetime.

Went to see the Doobie Brother and Chicago in concert at the Verizon Amphitheater in Alpharetta, GA. Sat night.
I was a mess. Outer bands of Tropical Storm Cindy, only off and on, but pretty hard at times. As a result of the weather delays and a parking FUBAR, we finally got to see the last two songs of the DB's. This was ok with me because I only cared to see Chicago anyway.

When we got in we were on the lawn. No worries, I had a golf umbrella and it make a very efficient little tent over Val and I. There was a familiar smell in the air, classic rock, and I really felt young again.

I took the long walk to get liquor and in line I had a couple interesting conversations. I told one guy that I had never seen so many old people except at a funeral, he laughed and told me he had heard several references to Woodstock.
I thought about that and wondered if the current group of people would be able to stand three days of this, thought ....don't think so.

Anyway, I was talking to a cute young couple behind me and said I was retired and she said, "It must be great not to have anything special to do on any one day."
I laughed and said, "You don't understand, the "Honey Do" list gets a lot longer." Sweet young thing she was she said, "What's a "Honey Do" list?

It was at this point a couple other guys in the line next to us couldn't believe she didn't know, so explained it to her. She got a light bulb look on her face and the guy just looked blank.
I thought I was going to fall over laughing, but I didn't.
I just was so grateful to be able to talk to young'uns and help them understand life.

Maybe that was the best part of the concert, interaction with other people.
