We walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7).
This scripture has been a continual theme throughout my life. I am constantly stepping out on faith to pursue one venture or another. I am picking up and moving cross country or leaving one job without another prospect in sight but the Lord seems to take care of babies and fools. I'm not sure which of the two categories I fall into but I am assuming the latter. I seem to land on my feet though and somehow my faith seems to grow stronger. There are times when fear grips me and paralyses me within it's hold but without faith there can be no progress.
Blindly I move forward along the course that I has been set before me. I often feel as if I have placed on a spirtual journey with no particular destination in sight. Yet, through faith I follow the path set before me. I know there must be a higher power who is guiding me along this path because I find an inner strength and resolve that couldn't possibly exist within me. Often I am faced with situations that I know the younger me would have never been able to deal with in a dignified fashion but I have been instilled with a tool to understand that it is all part of the journey and I remember to not lose sight of who I am and what I have been able to face thusfar.
As I move further into the third decade of this journey I turn my face upward and simply turn it over to the one who has set me upon this path. I am willing to share the gifts that have been bestowed upon me although they may not be as lavish as those of others. As flawed as my outer shell is, I know that it is simply worn and battle scarred from all of the previous challanges I have faced. I know that it hasn't always been this way and it will not always be this way. It is temporary and although it may not be perfect I have learned to respect it and not take it for granted because I have been in situations where it wouldn't cooperate with me. Fractured bones and severed tendons, burns and scars each have their own tale etched upon my body. Each line, each mark, each indentation is a testament to my journey.
So when someone comes along and tries to block my blessings or destroy what I have taken the time and energy to build, I know that I must continue along my path neither looking left nor right. I am not walking alone and I blindly place my hand in the hand of the One who can guide me through with the peace that passes all understanding. I do not blame myself nor will I blame others for my mistakes because it is all part of the journey. Yes, I walk by faith but my kindness is not a weakness. It took me a long time to reach the point I am at now and although I am far from perfect, I am nearer to it than I was at the beginning of this journey. I thank God for positive friends who love and support me when I need it most. Although everyone may not understand where I have come from and where I am going, I am grateful for those who do.
He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
This heavenly blessing written above was sent to me on just the right moment in just the right way. Thank you so very much. I bless the Lord.
