well I can dream, can’t I?

A Disclaimer-

If you have stumbled on this article in the hope of finding something to distract you, and you are, or consider yourself, a liberal in life and in political beliefs, you probably should look further for another distraction.

This article is about me as an individual, and my wants and beliefs as an independent thinker. Someone who is dedicated to an archaic belief that our forefathers intended for each of us to be, as Christians, and strongly religious people of any faith believing in a single God, righteous people with a deep regard for God, family, country and our fellow man. Or even Agnostics and Atheists with the same value base.

Now Then:

Here is what I believe, in no particular order of importance, and without regard to another’s beliefs or with any desire whatsoever to try to persuade you or anyone else to change over to what I believe. This week will deal with Politics Again?

What I am saying here is what, if I had the power to do, I would. Without a care for you or your own personal interests.

Actually, you might or might not care about today’s topic, but then you might find it interesting. Did you know there used to be very little difference between Democrats and Republicans?

Yeah. It’s true . The old liberals believed pretty much the same as us terrible conservatives. There was a thing called ‘Natural Rights’ that a guy named John Locke wrote a treatise about which basically said that all men were endowed with inalienable natural rights, which were primarily, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Sounds familiar right. It should. The Founding Fathers studied a great deal of Locke’s work for English Law and in order to draft our Constitution.

Seemed to be alright with liberals, heck, they take credit for it themselves, at least up until, the so-called progressives came along and said that Natural rights really didn’t exist in law. Man’s Law was necessary as in the days of Kings and Monarchs and such as them there kinds of feudal lords and all because people in those days were considered, unless they had titles, to be property. That’s right. For a long time anyone without a title had to be owned by someone. You know, like slaves.

Of course the progressive liberals were going to do it better than the Feudal Lords and masters. What they decided was that the State would own us and let us know what we could as their property. Oh sure, they let us think we had rights, but not Natural Rights. Those Natural Rights were made by God you see, and there was, or is, no God according to them, and besides the Constitution separates out God from it according to them (the separation of Church and State don’t you know.) So how could any Natural Right be valid if we separate that out.

Well it happens that many of us, like me, believe the only rights are God’s rights. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, right. So the State, in our minds, doesn’t have the right to medal with that. The State works for us, we don’t work for them. The progressive liberals seem to have this thing a little screwed up, don’t you know!

So that’s actually what all the fighting is about now. Of course, you’ll never get the progressives to agree with that. They won’t even acknowledge they think it. If you tell them what’s right, they start throwing race cards at you and all sorts of names about your ancestors and such, but what they won’t do is argue the point with you. There just so smart, when they don’t have an argument they accuse you (me, anybody) of anything to change the subject. Poor things are almost rabid with their tactics of blaming the fact they have everything upside down on anybody but themselves. Sure are.
