Any authority worthy of the name has no problem being questioned and providing honest answers. But most of us started sentient life with "the authorities" lying to us. After all, we had to figure out the truth for ourselves before "the authorities" would level with us about Santa Claus. LOL If we don't figure it out for ourselves, "the authorities" won't give up any of their other cherished secrets, either. I doubt one could get an audience with God, but certainly those human authorities who claim to know the "mind of God" should be questioned -- hard! And any answers forthcoming should only be accepted provisionally, and held lightly until all facts are known. And never mind that "their heart is in the right place." In other words, in light of the track record of "the authorities," be a skeptic.

There are those that think we can't question God but the God I know is big enough for our questions. He wants to answer them and we should give him all our anger as well. As for politicians well they are just that politicians.
