Web 2.0 offers social networking websites, personal video and music websites, blogs, instant messaging, email, shared bookmaking tagging, open source programing, and reality television shows online just to name a few. If you got the talent, drive, and some luck the platform is available. Just plug and play!
Come on and do it. I know you want too. I know you can. You don't need any help. You can do it yourself. Do you believe in yourself? Well if you do, you too can be a star. You too can be your own star controller.
The year is 2005. Science fiction writers have got it half right. Cell phones, web cams, mp3 players, wireless laptops, DVDs, wide screen monitors are abundant. We live in a connected age. We are photographed the minute we leave our house on public cameras, and we are photographing ourselves the minute we enter our house on private cameras.
These images are beamed around the world and the reality is we don't care. We crave the spotlight. We are not the voyeurs anymore! We have broken the social barrier and entered the other side.
We are using technology the way we want to, not the way the media tells us too. We are not watching the media anymore, they are watching us. So the big question is do we have a grasp on this new star crossed Internet connected reality? I really don't think we do, but that's okay.
We are learning as we go along. We will figure it out like we always have throughout the decades. Eventually! In the golden old ages we had to ride horses coast to coast to share our visions. Meet face to face.
This gave way to cars, trains, and then fast jet planes. Now today a more virtual world is possible through electronics. The United States is shrinking, or maybe it is expanding. It all depends on your point of view.
Getting back to the main idea of star controllers, it wasn't too long ago that other people managed stars. You had Hollywood agents, publicists, advertisers, and professional people with master degrees shaping and molding their clients into cartoon characters that appealed to the masses.
Their job was to sell you a manufactured product to fit your every need, and desire. That product other human beings! Of course that is still happening in the entertainment world today. But if you are an acute observer you might just notice a sea change developing faster than you can blink your eyes if look very closely.
People have stepped out of that confined box, and decided they want to play by their own rules. Not only are these people, or star controllers doing this, but they are becoming successful. They are developing fan bases. They are creating audiences. They are becoming famous, but more importantly are making money.
The money is the key because this is attracting the notice from the corporate world. Now these suits and ties must change their tune and try to follow suit.
For years now, big corporations have shaped reality in America with their own propaganda news. You see it on the television evening news and on cable news networks. This propaganda corporate news reality has spread fear as they try and make the public conform to their institutional belief systems.
This includes the big issue of the 21 century, "The War on Terror."
Still, this has not shaken the star controllers who want to do it their way and on their own terms. This path in most cases tries to follow a more truthful realistic approach.
For instance, millions of star controller bloggers respond to a mainstream corporate news story the second it is beamed to the masses. The opinions of the small people are just a mouse click away for anyone with Internet access.
Reality is not one sided anymore today! The big question for big corporations is how in the world do you control a star controller? Is it even possible? I think the bottom line answer is no!
Once the business people notice this they too can ride the creative wave and capitalize on the talent or no talent that is part of reality to Americans today.
I do believe they have seen the signs, and are starting to slowly join the party. So what about the blind audience out there in the cosmic universal matrix absorbing the pre feed spin?
What about the average American out there who might not be a star controller? Well if there are any left they can only benefit from fellow star controllers. Not only are they getting a more real dose of reality, but they have more to choose from.
They are getting information directly from the creative source. They can pick and choose. It might not be as polished and neatly prepared as the past, but it's real, raw, and from others just like themselves.
As an outsider, American reality today may seem somewhat schizophrenic. I think that is okay! We are trying to find our way through the invisible maze of truth.
We do live in a time of massive change and turmoil. I think one day we will look back on this moment in time and say that was a major turning point for reality in America.
Good or bad, these star controllers have set a new course of American reality in motion, and have not looked back.
