Laurel Lamperd passed away on 9 June 2013 at Northam Western Australia after a short illness.
Laurel had a love of reading and passion for writing. Over her 43 years of writing Laurel was aprolific author, self publishing 8 books that included childrens stories, historical romance, regency novels, a murder mystery, and her West Australian epic, The Wallara Series. Her poetry and short stories have been included in several anthologies.
In her final months she worked hard on her writing, and in April 2013 published the print version of Journey From Wallara. She gave me, her daughter Dawn Lamperd the task of collating and editing and publishing the third , and now final, book of the Wallara series, Return to Wallara, which I will do to the best of my abilities.
