I would like to share another review of my new book, Sunrise of Thought.
“Sunrise of Thought” by Bruce A. Humphrey is a deeply reflective and emotionally resonant poetry collection that explores the full spectrum of human experience. Through themes of war, love, fear, sacrifice, and hope, Humphrey creates a space where readers are encouraged not just to read, but to feel and reflect. Each poem carries a sense of urgency and sincerity, asking difficult questions about humanity—questions about unity, division, and whether we are truly moving toward a better future or drifting further apart. The result is a collection that feels both personal and universal.
One of the most striking qualities of Humphrey’s work is its emotional range. I enjoyed reading all the poems, but the poems titled as- ‘Want or Will’, ‘A Day in June’, ‘The White Dove’ and ‘To Touch the Sky’ instantly became my favourites.
Humphrey’s strength lies in his direct and accessible language. Rather than relying on overly complex poetic structures, he embraces clarity, allowing emotion to take center stage. This simplicity makes the collection approachable while still powerful, ensuring that readers from all backgrounds can connect with its message. “Sunrise of Thought” ultimately succeeds as a work of reflection and emotional honesty—one that invites readers to pause, question, and reconsider their place in a rapidly changing world.
