Interstitium Music and Transmedia Project Enters High Gear 11/3/2018 6:55:24 PM
The following welcome message is currently being sent to people who follow our band on Reverbnation ... I thought I'd also share it as a general invite with all of the Authorsden authors, creative thinkers etc., as well as any readers, who share our ideas in some form concerning the link between healthy forms of creativity and human well-being (personal or social. The Reverbnation welcome letter/ invitation follows:
Hi [New friend/follower]
Many thanks for engaging with Interstitium (band) and Songs of the Interstitium! We are currently working to provide the soundtrack for an international arts collaboration known as the 'Songs of the Interstitium' - a transmedia story project. The project features novels, poems, websites, twitter feeds,nonfiction writing and art. Many musicians, writers, poets, creative thinkers, journal and ezine editors, venue managers and music producers have already contributed to the project which is now over 11K strong.
Seven versions of the story's main characters 'bleed' across various story lines, as per new science, Quantum fiction tropes such as the 'many words/many selves' trope, the 'simulated reality' trope', 'A.I./VR/AR' tropes and the 'approaching A.I. Singularity' theme. Cosmological developments and uncertainties linked to New Science discoveries also feature. The various stories converge in the fifth novel - to be set, in part, in our world in the mid-to-late 2020s asour current planetary crisis reaches critical mass in our timeline.

We believe that a new vision of, and role for, Creativity is needed right now. Creative artists from all disciplines (and emerging arts discipines) and all nations will play a crucial role in coming decades if the species (and many other life forms on earth) is to survive its current interconnected, transnational challenges without significant trauma to the life support systems (the 'bio-spehere') of the planet.
So welcome to all of this - if you are interested, of course! We are inviting musicians, poets, writing journals, artists, film makers, etc. to enter the story world (as factual friends/followers/fellow creatives (real life "characters") in this 'time line' :) ) in loose ways (i.e. non-contractual/legal). We hope your creative interactions with us are inspirational and note that we are forming a loose multi-art form creative community featuring music, poetry, films, etc. that displays each artist's own slant on the themes, questions, urgencies etc. identified by the project.
Finally, If you join our Twitter feed you'll notice that we link to and promote content specifically or loosely interacting with our story world as well as the major themes being explored by the project. If work is brought to our attention we will post it to our 11K + real friends and followers across multiple WWW sites.
