This book shares the writings, observations and 150 year history of a Masonic Lodge in Wisconsin. You will find it facinating in that it will give you a day by day, month by month and year by year, from 1856 to the present, to provide a record of what a Masonic lodge does in its business meetings, how it takes care of its members and how it relates to the times that the brethren are experiencing throughout the years.
For example, one of the first chapers in the book bring out the fact of a member who is accused of violating his oath as a Master Mason and the second was a charge of whether he was guilty of loud and boisterous talking in the public streets in an excited, profane and
drunken manner.
It would be interesting to see how the lodge dealt with this matter and to what conclusion was arrived at.
