My latest poem Synchronizing
I hear your words.
They hurt me and convey
I have no value.
Quietness follows the moments
that are so painful.
Ah! I can hear that “pin drop.” Plop!
My spirit dives beneath
the hands that are waving fanatically
Where is the protector, the one I love?
Have you gone away?
Silent tears flow through my veins.
Why I ask is this happening to me?
I’ve been good. I don’t deserve the
cruelties of your heart!
Time heals all they tell me,
But why does time stand still?
I guess I’ll have to wait for the clock
to quit striking. Then I’ll know
the batteries are finally dead.
