HEALIng in the Church Today - Learn How to Pray for Healing 3/28/2015 6:27:01 PM
A different perspective of faith I have noticed over the years, an absence of articles published in support of God’s Healing Ministry?
Having been in this ministry for nearly 30 years, in part with Canon Jim Glennon; this absence saddens me. Surely the church (the body of Christ) would be interested in reading articles that support the centrality of Jesus teaching, which was healing. This was and is a sign of the kingdom (on earth) to which Jesus continually taught.
I have just published a book, HEALING IN THE CHURCH TODAY - Learn How to Pray for Healing, which I would encourage you to read. It is a book consisting of notes left by Canon Glennon intended to be his third book about Divine Healing. His first book "Your Healing is Within You", sold in excess of 200,000 copies and he was considered to be something of an authority, or at least knowledgeable on this Biblical subject.
Perhaps more to the point is that Canon Glennon was “stereotyped” as being singularly concerned with people’s healing, which was not the case. He was as concerned for their eternal welfare as anyone else, except he went about it in a different way - the Jesus way! He met people at their various points of felt need and in the fullness of time he led them into the kingdom. Healing was a means to an end. Was he misunderstood? Yes of course he was. Did the Church listen? No it did not. SID EAVIS
