Vampire Slayers Field Guide to the Undead

Author and folklorist Shane MacDougall will conduct and ongoing dialog about vampire beliefs from around the world...the different species of vampires, and the effects of vampire beliefs on our modern culture. All are welcome to share their thoughts!

Hello!

In my latest book, The Vampire Slayers' Field Guide to the Undead (ISBN: 1932045139, Strider Nolan Publishing, Inc.) I present hundreds of different vampires species and beliefs from around the world and throughout history.

The book also includes beliefs on werewolves (and similar shapeshifters) and other supernatural predatory monsters.

I'm starting this blog to invite you all to post your thoughts and opinions on vampires and similar creatures, on the changes in vampire beliefs, on vampires in literature, and on vampire beliefs today. The format is open...and all are welcome. As Bram Stoker's Dracula would say, " Enter freely and of your own free will."
