Not in Vain A mother's Diary and Memoir about Her Daughter's Death 3/2/2009 4:02:13 AM
This is a true story regarding the after math of a murder. What happens to the loved ones that are behind? How do they deal with the murder of their daughter, sister? How does the children deal with the loss of their mother? Will the hearts ever mend? Just a note to let you know:
I have done speaking engagements before regarding domestic violence to adults, but I have realized that if I am really going to make a impact on stopping the violence, I have to get to the teens that are dating. I have learned that they need to get educated on domestic violence and teen dating. I would like to speak to more junior high and high schools regarding this subject to help them recognize the signs.
We have sex education in schools, and also parental education classes for the young pregnant girls, why not domestic awareness classes?
Is there anyone out there that thinks this might be a great thing to have at your school, please contact me. I am ready to speak to our kids to teach them the warning signs.
If there is anyone else that would have any ideas or suggestions on how to stop domestic violence, please let me know. Together we can stop domestic violence!!
