Freckles: Reviews Anyone? 8/17/2009 8:52:11 PM
If anyone has read my book,Freckles: Angel on Her Shoulder, I would like some feedback. So far, I have seen two positive ratings (5 out of 5 stars)from Books-A-Million and one not so positive rating (1 out of 5 stars)from a reader who hated it. It obviously evokes strong feelings - nothing lukewarm. Either you love it or you hate it. If you are obsessed about perfect grammar, this is not your book - my characters don't often use perfect grammar and the author is on a learning curve - my mother was an English/Humanities teacher and said "Your grammar continually improved from the beginning to the end of the book. Many authors out there could stand to do as well." Some praise from my toughest critic - she turns 81 in November. I have lots of good feedback from my friends and colleagues who have read it. Love it or hate it, I feel it is a solid example of the storyteller's craft.
