A milestone, a reflection and a thanks Sometime Tuesday afternoon, [8/26/03] the total number of hits on my stuff exceeded
10,000. Since November 2002 I have posted 204 poems, and four articles, getting pleasure both from the writing and from the comments recieved. In addition I have read and
commented on some vrey fine poems, and corresponded with a bunch of really interesting
poets who have challenged and stretched me.
In response to this challenge I have tried new forms, styles, and genres, [nonsense, erotia,
tanka, to name three], and I have grown as a person. Growth in a person of my age is hard to verify; I know
it has happened. Poetry is more measurerable: Today when I compared some earlier works
to some current stuff I realized that I am a better poet in many ways, clearer, more subtle, with a lighter hand and outlook. All thanks to youseguys at the den.
