The Pope's comments about the animals going to heaven.
What do you think about the Pope? I personally find him to be one of the most enlightened and open-minded leaders of the Christian world. If we had more of such peace-loving, caring, and tolerant religious heads, the world would have been more peaceful. How about the Pope suggesting that animals, because of being God's creatures, will go to heaven after they die? Interestingly, I have just completed a fantasy novella in which the protagonist goes to heaven and reunites with her beloved childhood pet - the German shepherd dog - with whose help she begins looking for the renowned eighteenth-century French composer, Georges Bizet. I hope this will help me to find a publisher.
There are so many pet owners who get devastated when their lovely companion dies. The idea of believing in heaven and knowing that eventually they will join their pets, would grant a certain kind of hope and joy to the them. I have lost so many pets. Honestly, I would love to reunite with them in heaven.
