How do I go about looking for an agent? And once I find one who is interested in my work / me as an author, how do I know if I should go with that particular one?
I've had two books of poetry published by a small publisher.... I have no marketing outlets through them, aka no sales or advertisement of those works (not that poetry is a big seller anyway).
Now, I've written my memoir. I have a manuscript that I want to take to a larger publisher, but I know I need an agent. How do I find such an agent though? Or how do I find the right or a good agent, that is.
And of course, how do I find the answers to my questions? *sigh*
