Murder on the Waterfront Galley Proofs 3/19/2004 1:21:05 PM
I received the galley proofs for my upcoming book last Wednesday (3-10-04). It's amazing that something can be both a chore and a pleasure at the same time. I know I proofread that sucker up one side and down the other when I submitted it, but I'm finding new problems about every other page. Small problems, nothing major.
The pleasure of it has to do with how much I love the character of Lady Margaret. She's smart, funny, arrogant and gifted. In spite of her high opinion of herself and her giftedness, she is incredibly tenderhearted and kind toward people. That kindness drives the story.
I'm going to enjoy sharing this book with a wider audience.
