An exerpt from my book A Way to Redemption
This poem is about fighting with my addictions, Like a mental fight and that is what happened, this is what I wrote, THE LITTLE BUZZ
Appreciate myself,
Generate the strength,
That lies dormant in me,
In time,
Will see a stronger me
No chemicals to screw my mind
No cigarette substance,
In my body to find
My body,
My temple
I am living inside
First worry about me
I have stooped my low,
Cigarette butts,
Not mine,
But their taste I breathed
Dirty little grub
Do they have more hold on me?
Than I can ever handle
I’m not limp
I can handle way more than this
This little, pathetic brainwash
This little buzz
This what?
This little nothing
