The vast expanse of blackened waters caresses a ribbon of sand with a velvet touch as darkness decends on the lonely beach.
Waves in inaudible whispers murmer as I silently move thru idle palms, straining against the unrelenting darkness.
My mind races from dreams to fantasies,to images, attempting to capture allbefore real life intrudes once more on my cherished solitude
.In my mind, a rendezvous so real,reaching out in darkness, striving for a touch, a caress, a whisper,anticipation strengthens my senses a hundred fold,
the touch is real,the whisper is a sigh, in spirit she is at my side.
My senses spent, my mind must dwell on the image, the spirit, the dream.
My pace slows as darkness envelopes my very being with a calming mist and I revel in the images flitting thru my mind like the sand sprites at the water's edge.
Once again I listen for the whispering waves, and reality slowly makes it's way back into my consciousness,
and the night once more takes a realistic look at this lonely wanderer on the beach.
But for a few fleeting moments, all was serene, all was so real, for those few precious moments, she walked the lonely beach at my side.
